Stopped in for lunch, never been there before but will definitely be a regular... great! Blooming onions!!!.. simply the best I've ever had. It was homestyle southern food - chicken, fish sandwich, sides.. Clean, cozy and very friendly staff. Thanks for a great lunch, will be back. Our family has eaten here for years and have had great experiences every visit. We all agree there isn’t a bad plate on the menu. All of the foods are delicious. Waitresses are very nice and informative to any questions one may have. Great atmosphere
I had a fried catfish plate and it was so full I couldn't eat it all. Fried fish, fries, hush puppies, slaw, and tartar sauce all homemade. I don't usually eat tarter sauce but I eat their's. Onion rings are so big and great too.
We just moved to he area and have tried this place out twice! Once dine in and then take out. Both times were really good. Waitress was very kind.
We have used Northbrook Family Restaurant as caterers for several large events now. Each time, the food served is fresh and delicious. They come set everything up, serve the food and provide all of the paper products and drinks. Everyone has always been very friendly and accommodating for all of our needs. It's a great value for the money and we've never had any complaints regarding food at any of our events. Check them out!
We randomly stopped here and were so glad we did! The food was delicious, our waitress, Denise, was super accommodating, and the vibe was friendly and comfortable. Several items are homemade, like the shark bites, wedge fries and onion rings-such a delightful treat! You will feel like family here!!
Today was my 1st time there, & it was TREMENDOUS. Chicken biscuit w/egg, & a side of gravy. Service was great. Best breakfast I've had in a long time from a restaurant. My lunch date is already planned for tomorrow.
Our last visit here, 4/19/25, was very long. We arrived at the restaurant and was able to place our order very quickly, however, that was the end of the quick service. It took almost 45 minutes to get our food after ordering. I understand they have to go orders as well as the 3 other tables that were there, but, in my experience in the restaurant field, if you have orders to be taken care of, you don't come sit in the dining room with your family nor do you make trips outside to support the snow cone sale. The food was good once we received it but the service needs a lot of work.
